Edinburgh Castle

You can’t say you’ve been to Edinburgh without taking a trip to its famous castle. Sitting atop the volcanic Castle Rock, and accessed by the Royal Mile, it has guarded the city for centuries. One of the most interesting places to explore in Edinburgh, it is certainly a must see sight!

Housing some of the oldest buildings in Edinburgh and scene the most intriguing of Scottish history, it is definitely a worthwhile visit. Graced by Kings and Queens, Edinburgh Castle now houses the Crown Jewels of Scotland. It is also the site of the famous 1 o’clock gun salute. This is an old tradition where a gun is fired at 1 o’clock every day to alert citizens and the incoming ships down at the harbour of the time.

Standard ticket pricing is £16.50 and there are tours available as well. For more information, or for tours, feel free to get in touch.
